About this role

You will work as a Special Procedures Technologist in the Interventional Radiology and Cardiology department at St. Josephs Hospital, part of Baycare Health System. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 20, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

  • 4x10 shift schedule: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Weekend coverage required; minimum 2 weekends per month
  • On-call approximately 8-10 days per month with 30-minute response time; on-call sleep rooms available
  • Weekly pay: $2,736

Clinical Environment

You will manage a daily caseload of 20-30 cases with a census of 30-40 patients. The department operates 4 procedure rooms: 3 with biplane capability (3 Siemens, 1 GE unit). You will perform interventional radiology procedures including stroke intervention, neurointerventions, PE thrombectomy and thrombolysis, DVT interventions, pain management, and oncology procedures such as Y-90, MAAs, and chemoembolizations. You will treat patients across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics. Scrub color is black or navy.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree: Allied Health Professional
  • Minimum 1 year interventional radiology experience with vascular experience required
  • Trauma Level I experience required
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Travel experience required
  • Current certifications: ARRT R, ARRT VI, BLS, Florida state license
  • Proficiency with PACS, contrast administration, biopsies, stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, nephogram, kyphoplasty, peripheral interventions, upper and lower extremity procedures, abdominal and pelvic imaging, vascular studies, neurological studies, and stroke thrombectomy
  • Experience with Cerner charting system required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years interventional radiology experience
  • Trauma Level II experience
  • Cerner EMR proficiency, 3D imaging, IV starts, phlebotomy, C-Arm operation, hemodynamic monitoring, and venous access placement

You may float within the hospital to meet facility needs. This role offers hands-on experience in a Level I trauma center with advanced imaging technology and diverse case complexity.
