ED - Emergency Room

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Work evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours - must be indicated on submission form
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements
• No float requirements
• Block schedule cannot be accommodated
• Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week
• RTO must be made up on the back end and will not be approved in the first week of assignment
• Only 1 holiday RTO request permitted per assignment
• Patient ratio is 4:1 routinely; surge and other circumstances will alter ratios
• 68-bed emergency department unit
• EMR system: EPIC
• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Provide care in a busy urban Level 1 Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, and regional burn center environment
• Trauma and pediatrics experience preferred with high acuity experience in a facility seeing 200+ patients per day preferred
• 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility required - must be indicated on resume
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), TNCC, NIHSS (may be submitted without but must obtain prior to start)
• Current RN license required - must meet criteria for Missouri licensure or be currently licensed in Missouri
• Scrub color required: Black
• Jeans and unprofessional attire are not acceptable
