Telemetry RN Job in Pikeville, KY

Pikeville Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Telemetry unit. You'll work 12-hour day shifts across a 56-week contract starting July 6, 2026, earning $2,073.60 weekly.

About the Role

You'll care for patients in Medical Surgical and Telemetry units with a standard patient ratio of 1:6, managing 15–45 beds depending on unit assignment. Your responsibilities include reading and interpreting telemetry strips, charting in Care View or EPIC (on-site training provided), and floating throughout all inpatient Med Surg/Tele units as needed. You may also be tasked to assist other units when requested.

Schedule & Commitment

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week with no blocked scheduling
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week minimum
• Every other weekend and holiday required unless approved time off is arranged
• No on-call or callback requirements
• 56-week contract length

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Telemetry or Medical Surgical specialty
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• KY or Compact RN License
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing
• Ability to complete an EKG test during the compliance process

Additional Information

Black scrubs are required. Charting experience with Care View or EPIC is preferred but not required; the facility provides on-site training. This position is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced telemetry environment and are comfortable with patient ratios and floating assignments.
