ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends
• 8-10 weekend shifts required per 6-week scheduling period, including Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
• Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• Minimum of 2 years of ER experience required
• No on-call required
• Regular floating may be required between ED Hold area, departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Block scheduling is not available
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks; cancelled shifts must be the regular assigned shift length
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CPI and MAB
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required skills: Cardiac monitoring, management of dysrhythmias, management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP management, ventilated patient care, isolation precautions, and triage
• Preferred skills: Arterial line management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, interpretation of ABGs
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Occasional OB patients may require management of mother and baby until transferred out
• Must have Kansas and Missouri license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license required due to potential float between facilities
