ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients in the emergency department setting
• Participate in patient and family teaching and provide leadership within the care team
• Work cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice
• Ensure mutual goal setting between the Registered Nurse and the patient while protecting patient rights and privacy
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards as defined by the ANA Code for Nurses and ANA Nursing's Social Policy Statement
• Maintain compliance with regulatory agency standards including AOA, HCFA, and MIOSHA
• Demonstrate individual competence in nursing practice with responsible acceptance of individual actions and judgments
• 2+ years of emergency department experience required
• Weekend shifts required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS (ENPC accepted in place of PALS), TNCC, ENPC, BLS (AHA)
• Michigan nursing license required
