Opportunity:

RN - Orthopedics

Job Details:

• Work on a 32-bed orthopedic unit with individual patient rooms
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 6 RNs, 1-2 LPNs, 3 PCTs, and 1 HUC
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 5 RNs, 1-2 LPNs, 2 PCTs, and 1 HUC
• Patient ratios: Day shift 5:1 (6:1 stretch) and Night shift 6:1 (7:1 stretch)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Perform dressing changes, suture and staple removal, Foley catheter care, NG tube management, and wound vac maintenance and removal
• Utilize equipment including walkers, bedside commodes, bladder scanners, CPM machines, sky lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Lift, Maxi Move, vital sign machines, hover mats, bair huggers, and wheelchairs
• Use Cerner as the electronic medical records system
• Float to other Med-Surg units as needed
• RNs are required to wear navy scrubs
• Must be a team player with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
• NC nursing license required
• BLS certification required
• Hospital experience preferred
• Orthopedic experience preferred
