NICU RN Job in Springfield, Missouri

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking an RN for a 13-week travel assignment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). You will provide direct patient care to premature infants, infants of diabetic mothers, infants with respiratory distress, and other neonatal patients requiring intensive support.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3x12 night shift schedule (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekly pay: $2,102.40
• Assignment begins April 20, 2026

Requirements

• Current RN license eligible for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years NICU experience
• Ventilator competency required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, PALS
• Preferred 2 years experience in NICU level 3 or higher

Role Details

• Patient ratios: 1:3 (acuity-dependent, not guaranteed)
• No call requirements
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Float assignments to PICU or Postpartum floor based on patient volumes
• Direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• EPIC EMR system
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift—must be available entire orientation week

Facility Requirements

• Black scrubs or approved facility scrub tops with black pants
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1
