PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

Join Mission Hospital's 36-bed Progressive Care Unit as a travel RN. You'll deliver care on a medical telemetry unit with a structured team environment and reasonable patient ratios.

Your Role:

• Care for 5–6 patients per shift during days (1:5/6 ratio)
• Work day shifts: 6:45 AM–7:15 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Provide medical telemetry monitoring and prepare patients for endoscopy, interventional radiology, and operating room procedures
• Use Cerner EMR, remote telemetry systems, Cerner Patient Observation (CPO), and VC150s in patient rooms
• Document via workstation on wheels with Tap and Go computer access
• Float to sister medical-surgical units (3W, 5W, K8) as needed

Your Team:

• Day shift: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 HUC, and 1–2 sitters
• Collaborative, fast-paced environment with hard-working, compassionate colleagues

What We Need:

• RN degree (BSN preferred)
• BLS certification (required)
• Medical telemetry experience (required)
• CMSRN certification (encouraged)
• Leadership or charge nurse experience (preferred)

Assignment Details:

• 91-day assignment starting April 20, 2026
• Sign-up commitment: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Weekly pay: $2,102.40
• Navy blue scrubs or all-white scrubs required
