Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day/night variable shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (13-week contract)
• Work every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours - can be low censused in hour increments
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: days/evenings 1:4 or 5, nights 1:5-7
• Work in 40-bed post-surgical care unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients
• Handle 10-15 admissions per day with highest volume on day/evening shifts
• Unit maintains 90-95% occupancy with average length of stay 2-3 days
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2+ years Med Surg experience with recent hospital experience required
• Trauma level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Work with Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must have ability to multitask, prioritize patient care based on acuity, and work as a team
