Med Surg RN Job in Utica, NY

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a 64-bed Medical/Surgical Stroke Stepdown unit at MVHS Inc. in Utica, NY. This is a 12-hour night shift role running from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with an 89-day contract starting July 6, 2026. You will earn $2,309.75 per week.

Your Role:

• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including stroke, altered mental status, renal issues, dialysis, COPD, CHF, isolation cases, general medical-surgical conditions, pneumonia, and pulmonary issues
• Work with specialty equipment including IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes
• Manage a patient assignment on the Med Surg Stroke Stepdown unit with floating to other units as required
• Document and communicate using the EPIC electronic medical record system

Requirements:

• Current RN license in New York, active and verified through NURSYS
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience with Stroke Stepdown experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification
• NIHSS certification (may be obtained prior to your start date)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Navy blue scrubs required
