Medical Lab Technician

Medical Laboratory - Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Technician

Job Details:

• Perform a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological tests and procedures following established laboratory policies and procedures
• Provide laboratory services appropriate to patients of all ages including newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Phlebotomy experience required
• Apply basic computer knowledge and mathematical calculations in daily responsibilities
• Use sound judgment and good interpersonal skills to ensure quality of patient care
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with effective reading and comprehension abilities
• Meditech experience is a plus
• Degree in Medical Technology/Lab Science or a related biological science required
• ASCP certification as an MLT or MT/MLS required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. or more and follow proper body mechanics as related to the job
• Shift is primarily days with rotating weekends and potential for occasional on-call hours
