NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Care for neonates from 27 weeks and older - proficiency required
• Varied work schedule with attempts to schedule at least every other weekend dependent upon unit rotation, need, and holidays
• May float to a sister facility location as needed based on regional contract
• Formulate and implement individualized patient care plans including discharge planning based on patient-specific needs
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise health care team activities to ensure continuity of care
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Accurately document assessments, nursing interventions, and patient responses in the patient record
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership, education, and orientation of facility personnel
• Precept and mentor staff as appropriate to support professional growth
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting required, with experience in specialty area within the past 12 months
• Required certifications: CO CAPS, BLS, and NRP
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
