Physical Therapist Assistant

Opportunity:

PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant Rehab Outpatient

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Home health experience preferred but will consider all PTA experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• SC PTA license required - must obtain prior to starting if pending
• BLS certification required
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Guaranteed hours based on hours signed in contract
• Daily patient ratio of 6 patients with 6 visits per day
• Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
• Patient diagnoses include orthopedic, neurological, wounds, CHF, diabetes, generalized weakness rehabilitation, cardiac, renal, and geriatric conditions
• Work with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, interpretation services, social services, pharmacy, and transportation
• Experience with various equipment including crutches, gait belts, prosthetics, walkers, and shoulder slings
• Handle conditions such as hip fractures, post-operative surgeries, spinal conditions, joint replacements, cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and stroke rehabilitation
• Must complete compliance documents 5 business days prior to start date
• Must go to lab within 24 hours after signing contract
• Strict attendance policy - missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract cancellation
• All requested time off must be included on initial submission
