About this role
MUSC Health Charleston is seeking an Echo Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026. You will work 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a weekend requirement of 1–2 weekends per month (Saturday–Sunday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM). On-call duties are expected weekdays (approximately 2–3 times per month) and weekends (2 times every other month).
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform 2-D and 3-D echocardiography, color Doppler studies, and portable cardiac imaging
- Work with adult acute care and outpatient populations, including Emergency Department and ICU settings
- Complete 7–8 patient cases during 8-hour shifts and 8–10 cases during 10-hour shifts
- Chart in Epic and maintain detailed patient documentation
- Be available for emergency response during hurricane season (June–November)
Requirements
- Current ARDMS RVT/RDCS (AE) or CCI RCS/RVS certification, plus BLS
- Minimum 1 year of echosonography experience
- Willingness to float to sister facilities within a 60-mile radius
- Radiation badge (agency-supplied)
- 40-hour facility orientation
Compensation and Logistics
- Weekly pay: $2,246.40
- Guaranteed hours; facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Parking: $20 one-time fee for nights and weekends only
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
