Job Details:

• Work 5 days per week on 8-hour shifts
• Full-time position
• Examine, test, diagnose, and administer remedial treatments for patients with speech and hearing disorders
• Evaluate patients regarding the application of therapeutic techniques for rehabilitation of speech, language, hearing, and oral motor disorders
• Record speech samples and conduct phonetic analyses of speech ability
• Document test results and recommend remedial treatment
• Perform evaluations with special attention to receptive and expressive language skills, speech fluency, vocal and oral motor competence, articulation, and auditory skills
• Confer with associates and institute treatment utilizing corrective exercises and special equipment
• Maintain active communication with patients regarding progress, problems, home programs, and other issues related to the therapeutic process
• Assist with direction, utilization, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of supportive staff, volunteers, and students
• Interpret and carry out physician prescriptions; receive and write verbal orders from physicians, nurse practitioners, and/or physician assistants in accordance with practice act guidelines
• Bachelor's Degree required; graduate of an accredited/approved school of Speech Language Pathology required
• Speech Therapy/Pathology license required; must present license prior to employment
• BLS (AHA only) certification required
• American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) card required
• New graduates accepted; experience preferred; CFY supervision may be arranged
