Tide Health Group – Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a long-term care setting in Worcester, MA. This is a temporary position running for 91 days, starting July 6, 2026.

Position Overview

You will deliver rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Your work will be grounded in evidence-based practice and focused on helping patients regain function and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer therapeutic interventions including manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device instruction
  • Assess patient progress and communicate findings to your supervising Physical Therapist
  • Adjust treatment plans based on patient response and clinical outcomes
  • Provide education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
  • Document treatment in the electronic health record system, accurately recording treatment minutes per regulatory requirements
  • Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings
  • Contribute to discharge summaries and clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with the health team to ensure coordinated care
  • Support and supervise students under Physical Therapist guidance

Schedule & Compensation

This role offers a 5×8 day shift with no on-call or weekend requirements. You will earn $1,584 per week.

Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts PTA license at time of submission
  • Minimum 1+ years of PTA experience
  • Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
  • Skills checklist completion within 1 year
  • Current 0–1 reference at time of submission
  • Adherence to APTA practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
