Neurology RN Job in New Albany, IN

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in New Albany, IN is seeking an RN to join the Neurology unit on a 12-hour night shift basis (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM). This is an 89-day travel assignment starting November 16, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,200.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings in accordance with RN scope of practice
• Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices to clinical decision-making
• Identify patient risk factors and collect objective and subjective data to inform care planning
• Develop and prioritize patient problem lists in collaboration with the interprofessional team
• Establish desired outcomes with patients and families aligned with the medical plan of care
• Communicate procedures, treatments, and processes clearly to patients and families
• Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond to changes appropriately
• Manage the care of multiple patients by setting priorities based on acuity and organizing workload effectively
• Delegate tasks to team members and oversee performance of patient care activities
• Support discharge planning by executing discharge orders and coordinating with Case Management
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives addressing patient satisfaction, falls prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation accuracy
• Foster a positive and healing environment through professional communication and collaborative practice

You will implement professional nursing practice centered on the whole person within a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Your practice will be grounded in current research, hospital and department policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. You will consider patient culture, age, and developmental level when designing interventions and will actively contribute to a supportive unit dynamic.
