ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Rotate holidays with permanent staff
• Must have 2 years of experience in specialty and 1 travel contract
• Strict 75 mile radius rule enforced
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA), TNCC
• BSN not required
• 3 shift floor specific orientation
• Patient ratio 1:4
• Work with patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics
• Handle minor walk-in cases to trauma situations
• Trauma patients stabilized and airlifted out, pediatric patients transferred out
• 12 bed emergency department with 2 trauma bays and 1 seclusion room
• Fast track clinic with 4 rooms for ESI 4-5 patients
• Approximately 70 patients per day
• Use MEDITECH charting system
• Dress code: hunter green pants, white top, white jacket
• Work with ventilators and perform own lab draws
• Support from 1 paramedic per shift, ER techs, and nurse externs
• No floating required
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
