Operating Room RN Job in Machias, ME

Down East Community Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for a travel assignment in the Operating Room. You'll join the perioperative team for a 91-day engagement beginning July 6, 2026, working day shifts.

Your Role

You will deliver safe, effective, and quality patient and family-centered care throughout the perioperative period. Your responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and working in the recovery room as needed to support surgical patients and the broader care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care during surgical procedures and recovery
• Scrub and circulate in the operating room
• Deliver recovery room support as assigned
• Communicate effectively with perioperative team members, including surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical technologists
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold organizational mission, vision, and values

Qualifications

You hold a current RN license. CNOR certification is preferred. You are committed to patient safety and comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment with diverse patient populations and case types.

Assignment Details

This is a 91-day travel position at Down East Community Hospital in Machias, Maine. You will work day shifts and earn $2,365.20 per week. Start date is July 6, 2026.
