About this role

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a First Assist Technician for a 91-day travel assignment at Franciscan Health Lafayette. You will work 4×10 shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday with a rotating day off. Weekend call rotation is required in addition to weekday call duties.

Role Overview

As a Certified Surgical First Assistant, you will scrub in and assist across a 10-operating-room surgical suite. Your responsibilities include first-assisting thoracic cases, vascular procedures, and open heart surgeries. You must be able to function flexibly as both a CSFA and CST depending on surgical needs, taking cases in General, Orthopedic, Spine, Neuro, GYN, ENT, Robotics, Urology, Podiatry, Vascular, and Open Heart specialties.

Requirements

  • Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification
  • NBSTSA Certification
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a First Assist
  • Documented experience scrubbing thoracic cases
  • Vascular and Open Heart experience required
  • Robotics training preferred
