PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• On-call position with response time required within 30 minutes
• Weekend schedule to be determined
• Minimum 3 years of PACU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Ohio nursing license required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year and pertinent to specialty required
• 2 supervisory references with dates of employment listed required
• Assume responsibility and accountability for care of assigned patients during assigned shift
• Perform assessment and data collection to develop individualized plans of care across the peri-anesthesia continuum
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and implementation of collaborative therapeutic interventions
• Evaluate patient health status and determine effectiveness of interventions
• Assist with nerve blocks and develop plans of care to meet pre-anesthesia physical, psychological, educational, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families
• Communicate patient care information across the continuum of care under direct supervision of Anesthesiologist
• Conduct interviews and assessments to identify potential or actual problems and report findings to anesthesia
• Perform post-anesthesia Phase I care and transition patients to Phase II level of care based on ASPAN standards
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of candidate submittal
