ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - CCU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• 2 on-call shifts required per 4-week period
• Must be comfortable floating to multiple units including ICU, ER, Med/Surg, and Med/Surg Telemetry
• Must be cross-trained for multiple units including Med/Surg, ICU, and ER
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care units required
• New York State RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (all through American Heart Association or RQI system specifically)
• Basic Coronary Care certification required within 6 months
• CPI certification required within 90 days
• TNCC and Emergency Nurses Association certification recommended within 2 years
• Must demonstrate ability to provide age-appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Computer literacy required; experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record preferred
