<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Trauma</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work on A 4 West Adult Medical Surgical unit, a 34-bed unit<br>• Day shift patient ratios: 1:4-6 patients, Night shift patient ratios: 1:5-7 patients<br>• Must attend huddles at 6:50 AM for day shift or 6:50 PM for night shift<br>• Must clock in no earlier than 6:38 AM or 6:38 PM depending on shift<br>• Required to clock out and in for meal breaks<br>• Every other weekend required or 6 weekend shifts per pay period<br>• May float to other medical surgical units or occasionally to the ED holding pod<br>• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs<br>• Work with equipment including telemetry monitoring, IV fluids, tube feeds, PEG feedings, and IV antibiotics<br>• EMR system: Cerner<br>• Must have telemetry rhythm interpretation capabilities, critical thinking skills, and time management abilities<br>• Must be able to assess medical surgical level patients and alert appropriate personnel when acuity changes<br>• Required certification: BLS<br>• Preferred certification: ACLS<br>• Must demonstrate good communication skills and punctuality<br>• Team player attitude required with willingness to assist CNAs and other nursing staff<br>• Must follow HCA policies and unit guidelines</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This flagship hospital is licensed for 815 beds and serves as the region&#39;s referral center with the only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
