Opportunity:

PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant Rehab Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Alternative schedules available: Wednesday-Sunday or Tuesday-Saturday with same hours
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Handle 16 units of treatment per day
• No float or on-call requirements
• Weekend requirements based on chosen schedule (Monday-Friday = no weekends)
• Minimum 1 year experience required
• Travel experience required (first-time travelers considered with strong specialty experience)
• Acute care hospital experience required
• BLS certification required
• Work with adult and geriatric patient population following Physical Therapist's Plan of Care
• Skills required: Home Exercise Programs, Lifting & Transfer, Patient/Family Education, Safety & Injury Prevention, Billing
• Equipment experience required: Bed Alarms, Call Lights, Crutches, Gait Belt, Hospital Bed, Rolling Walker, Sit to Stand Lift
• Assessment experience required: AROM/AAROM/PROM, Pain Assessments, Strength Testing, Vital Signs
• Must maintain permanent address greater than 100 miles from facility
• WV or Compact license required (pending license acceptable)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1st - March 31st) with medical exemptions only
• Complete 2-6 hours of non-billable modules prior to start
