Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday shifts from 2:45 AM to 11:15 PM with call coverage responsibilities
• Function under the direction of registered professional nurses in moderate to high acuity surgical cases
• Prepare operative suites and surgical fields while maintaining sterile field integrity
• Gather required instruments and supplies, serve as surgical assistant as needed
• Anticipate needs of surgeons and healthcare team members during procedures
• Perform surgical counts with circulator and participate in procedure pause/time-out
• Scrub, gown, and glove; assist with gowning and gloving surgeons and assistants
• Pass instruments to surgeons and maintain organized back table and operative field
• Prepare sterile dressings and participate in post-procedure pause
• Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization
• Stock ORs and assist with inventory and ordering supplies
• Provide age-appropriate and culturally aware patient care
• Required certifications: BLS, CST or TS-C(NCCT) or CSFA or CSA
• High school diploma or GED required, surgical technology program completion required
• Must pass competency examination through National Board of Surgical Technology or National Center for Competency Testing
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills essential
• Ability to function in stressful and emergency situations
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and basic computer skills required
