PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Details:

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders
• Work under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist
• Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
• Administer various procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information in electronic documentation system
• Accurately record treatment minutes for services provided per regulatory requirements
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers and other service providers
• Participate in facility and company required trainings and in-services
• Support students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist
• No call responsibilities required
• No weekend work required
• Minimum 1+ years of PTA experience required
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
• Active PTA license required
• New graduates considered with Level II experience
• Must adhere to APTA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
