<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Operating Room</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work Monday through Friday various 8-hour day shifts<br>• 40 guaranteed hours per week (13-week contract)<br>• On call requirements: 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month, 1 backup per week with potential for additional call<br>• 30-minute response time to OR required (vehicle mandatory)<br>• Work every 3rd-4th weekend and holiday rotation<br>• Assigned to 4-5 of 21 operating rooms per day covering all specialties<br>• Must have 3+ years OR experience with anesthesia experience required<br>• Prior travel experience required<br>• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility<br>• Required certifications: AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, Wisconsin RN License or compact license<br>• Associate degree or certificate in nursing required<br>• Epic charting system experience required<br>• Experience with Cell Saver and Belmont equipment required<br>• Strong OR/CVOR circulating experience needed<br>• Assist with intubations, fiber optic scopes, sterile techniques with central lines<br>• Support anesthesiologist with arterial lines, central lines, lumbar drains, Swan Ganz catheters<br>• Perform IV starts, draw labs, set up medication pumps<br>• Operate Belmont, Cell Saver, and Level I equipment<br>• Assist with heart surgeries, trauma cases, elective surgeries, and general surgeries<br>• Prior conscious sedation experience preferred<br>• 2-week orientation process with additional anesthesia skills training<br>• Scrub colors provided<br>• During flu season, unvaccinated staff must wear masks at all times</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare organization features a comprehensive surgical program with 21 operating rooms covering all medical specialties, with a particular focus on their cardiothoracic program.
