ED Registered Nurse Job in Leonardtown, MD

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at MedStar Saint Marys Hospital, a 44-bed facility serving a diverse patient population across all age groups—from neonates to geriatrics.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Every-other-weekend coverage required; expect 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Friday and Saturday nights)
• Patient ratio: 1:4–6

Your Role

You'll handle general emergency department cases involving combined adult and pediatric presentations. The department has 30 treatment rooms and maintains a daily census of approximately 120 patients. You'll work alongside an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretaries.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience
• At least 1 completed travel assignment
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Experience with Cerner charting system
• Provide your own royal blue scrubs

Onboarding and Time Off

• Orientation provided every Monday with 36 orientation hours
• No RTO (rest time off) permitted during your first two weeks
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract
