Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Med Surg position with possibility of floating to Acute Rehab and any unit within scope of practice
• Every other weekend schedule required with holidays as needed
• Call is required for this position
• May be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse
• Coordinates total nursing care for patients
• Participates in patient and family teaching
• Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice
• EMR: Cerner
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1 to 4/5
• Average daily patient census: 22
• 2 years recent Med Surg/Rehab experience required
• Charge RN experience required - not negotiable
• Previous travel experience of at least 3 months required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Must have own vehicle - this is a firm requirement as the community does not have public transportation
• Block scheduling will not be considered for this position
• 48-hour guarantee is not available for this position
• All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Vermont RN license or Compact license required
• Skills checklist for Medical Surgical, current within 1 year, required
• At least 1 supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
