Job Details:

• Administer safe and competent respiratory care as ordered by physicians with emphasis in specialty areas including Emergency, Neonatal, Pediatric, Geriatric, and Critical Care
• Monitor and manage mechanical ventilation for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Administer respiratory medications and perform thorough patient assessments
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all respiratory care procedures
• Verify physician orders for respiratory care and provide accurate reports
• Perform effective airway management including bag/mask ventilation and assist physicians with intubation
• Demonstrate safe and appropriate suction techniques and use of artificial airways
• Perform arterial blood gas draws
• Initiate, maintain, and monitor ventilator patients and interpret flow volumes and pressure volume curves
• Translate medication into neonatal and pediatric doses using proper equipment and procedures
• Perform patient charge reconciliation and data entry of all daily services
• Demonstrate working knowledge of all cardiopulmonary equipment including troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Assist in orientation and training of new employees and respiratory/nursing students
• Comply with all personal protective equipment requirements
• Minimum 1 year of RRT experience with knowledge in General Respiratory Care and Mechanical Ventilation required
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Must be a graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care Program with RRT credential
• Pulmonary diagnostics and cardiac diagnostics experience (EKG, Holter monitor, Event Monitor, Cardiac Stress Testing) preferred
