Registered Nurse - Operating Room @ MedStar Montgomery Medical Center

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 schedule from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM with flexible shift option 10:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Weekly orientation on Monday with ASAP start available
• 2 years of General Surgery experience required
• Travel experience required
• BLS certification required
• Call required - up to 12 hours per week (Monday 7 PM through Friday 7 AM) and 12 hours of weekend call (Friday 7 PM to Sunday 7 PM)
• Every other holiday required
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Handle approximately 25 OR cases daily across 7 operating rooms
• Must be skilled in various procedures including appendectomy, arthroscopy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, mastectomy, total joint replacement, and specimen handling
• Required to follow Universal Protocol and respond to codes
• Must have compact license or Maryland license
• Two supervisor references required
• Must complete facility-specific modules within one week of signing contract
