RN - Endoscopy

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Some weekend shifts required
• Implement professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person with a focus on healing and wellness
• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice
• Consider patient culture, age, and developmental level when designing care actions and interventions
• Identify patient risk factors and presenting complaints
• Collect objective and subjective patient data and obtain health information from family or others as necessary
• Develop prioritized problem lists and determine desired outcomes in coordination with patients and families
• Fully implement patient care therapies and procedures within scope of practice
• Explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
• Conduct and document ongoing assessments and responses to procedures and therapies
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in patient care activities
• Identify and address educational needs of patients based on level of comprehension
• Facilitate patient discharge process by executing discharge orders in a timely manner
• Coordinate discharge planning with Case Management and other team members as indicated
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and pressure ulcer monitoring
• Promote a positive group dynamic and healing environment through words and actions
