Vascular Sonography Tech Job in Hilo, HI

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Allied Health Professional Ultrasound Technologist specializing in vascular sonography for a 91-day travel assignment at Hilo Medical Center in Hilo, HI. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your sonography expertise across multiple specialties in an acute hospital setting.

Position Overview

You will work a 40-hour rotating shift schedule with call duties as appropriate. Your role includes floating to other units and departments as needed, allowing you to work across diverse ultrasound specialties including vascular, abdomen, gynecology, obstetrics, neonatal, and superficial structures. You will perform various procedures including aspirations, biopsies, drainage procedures, and intraoperative ultrasounds, caring for patients from neonatal to adult populations.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound procedures and other specialty ultrasounds as assigned
• Handle both normal and pathological cases across all ultrasound specialties
• Operate Canon i700 equipment and work within Meditech EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS systems
• Float to other departments as staffing needs require

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in acute hospital setting as a full-time sonographer
• One or more prior travel contracts preferred
• Active ARDMS certification (AB, OB, RVT credentials required)
• Current BLS certification (AHA certified)
• Professional scrubs and healthcare attire required

Assignment Details

Start date: July 20, 2026. Duration: 91 days. Weekly pay: $2,628. You must arrive Thursday before your start date for a Friday employee health appointment.
