ED RN Job in Lancaster, OH

Fairfield Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department on the night shift. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 6, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Weekly pay: $2,089
• Weekend requirement: 5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Location: Lancaster, Ohio

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient using the nursing process
• Accept responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks
• Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care
• Educate patients and family members from admission through discharge
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and legible documentation of the nursing process
• Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status
• Administer medications and perform treatments in a safe and accurate manner
• Implement physician orders as written
• Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care

Requirements

• Valid Ohio nursing license
• Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• CPR certification required
• Previous nursing experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions
• Critical thinking skills
• Medium work level: ability to exert up to 20–50 pounds of force occasionally and 10–25 pounds frequently
