Respiratory Therapist Job in Odessa, TX

You'll provide respiratory therapy services across adult medical/surgical, adult critical care, and general pediatric patients at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX. This is a 91-day travel assignment with 3x12 night shifts, paying $1,918.08 weekly. Start date: May 12, 2026.

Role Requirements:

• RRT certification required (CRT not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Trauma Level II experience required; Level I preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
• Flu vaccine required (medical and religious exemptions available)

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage ventilators including PB 980 and specialized equipment for jet and oscillatory ventilation
• Perform airway management, ventilator management, and pulmonary hygiene across all patient age groups
• Interpret arterial blood gases and manage non-invasive ventilation with V-60 and nitric delivery systems
• Support neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Handle all pulmonary processes including trauma cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services and rapid response teams
• Cover 9 weekend shifts per contract
