<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Stepdown</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM<br>• Schedule includes 3 shifts per week on weekdays with some weekend coverage required<br>• Typically maintain 1:4 patient ratio, may flex to 1:5 during emergencies<br>• Minimum 1.5-2+ years nursing experience required<br>• Must have 1 year MS/Tele experience and 2 years Stepdown experience<br>• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (must be American Heart Association certified)<br>• Essential skills include IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ability to read cardiac strips<br>• Must be comfortable with BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac drips, and vasoactive drips<br>• Experience needed with central line care, chest tubes, feeding tube management, and post-cardiac procedures<br>• Dress code requires burgundy and/or white scrubs (not provided by facility)<br>• Use Cerner electronic medical record system<br>• 8 hours of orientation provided<br>• Blocked weekend schedules may be considered (Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday)<br>• Holiday time off requests limited to maximum 2 of the 4 major holidays<br>• Care for adult and geriatric patients primarily with cardiac diagnoses</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This medical center operates a 36-bed stepdown unit with a daily census of 34 patients, providing intermediate care between intensive care and general medical floors. The facility specializes in cardiac care, treating patients who have undergone cardiac surgery or interventional cardiology procedures, as well as other medical and surgical patients.
