Opportunity:

Sonographer-WMG-Northwest Women's Care-Days - Ob/Gyn Sonographer

Job Details:

• Work day shifts Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Perform a wide variety of ultrasound procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative
• Comfortable performing complex ultrasounds including MFM patients
• Experience with EPIC, Viewpoint, GE, and Phillips ultrasound units required
• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history prior to procedures
• Ensure proper patient identification using 2 unique identifiers before performing any procedure
• Review ultrasound images for clinically acceptable results and release patients
• Send all studies to PACS immediately after completion and print CDs as needed
• Complete all studies in RIS before completing in PACS
• Maintain quality control logs for probe disinfection and follow infection control policies
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment as needed
• Maintain Joint Commission standards and all other regulatory agency standards
• Take call when necessary
• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs
• Dress code: Medical scrubs
• Required certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC; ARDMS (Registered Medical Sonographer) or ARRT-S (ARRT Sonography)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
• Successful completion of a Sonography Training Program required
• High School Diploma or Trade School Diploma/Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
