NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float to pediatrics, PICU, and nursery as needed
• Care for neonatal and infant patients in a Level III NICU setting
• Manage patients from 23 weeks gestation and up, including surgical and cooling cases
• Operate all respiratory modes including ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
• Utilize special equipment including Jet ventilator, high-frequency ventilator, high flow, CPAP, and ostomy care
• Perform and assist with special procedures including PICC line insertions, umbilical line insertions, bronchoscopy, LISA, VCUG, MRI, and swallow studies
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, UAC, UVC, and IV vasopressors
• Administer surfactants and steroids as needed
• Care for patients with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
• Perform feedings including bottle, breast, and gavage methods
• Manage oral, nasogastric, and nasojejunal tube placement
• Maintain isolation precautions and proper PPE usage
• Patient ratio of 2-3 patients per nurse
• Charting system experience required
• Travel experience required
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), NRP
• Valid California nursing license required
