ED RN Job in Wichita, KS

Join Wesley Medical Center KS as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Role Expectations

• Provide direct patient care with typical patient ratios of 3:1 average, 5:1 for low-acuity patients, and team nursing approach for pediatrics
• Perform IV starts, medication administration, sedation management, and pediatric procedures
• Work with Alaris infusion equipment and Meditech EMR system
• Scan patients and medications at each administration per unit policy
• Maintain independence and adapt quickly to a high-activity emergency setting

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year acute care hospital emergency department experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Experience in large facility settings (52+ beds preferred)
• Ability to travel and relocate for assignment duration

Preferred Qualifications

• ENPC certification
• Meditech EMR experience

Staffing & Support

Night shift teams include 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel per pod, ensuring collaborative care delivery.
