NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three shifts per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Ventilator and trach experience required
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Care for neonates and infants with high acuity surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological conditions
• Work within a regional high acuity Fetal Care Center environment
• Manage a high volume of intubated and acute infants on the unit
• Patient diagnoses include Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Intraventricular Hemorrhage, Prematurity of the Neonate, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, Pulmonary Hypertension, and other complex neonatal conditions
• Patient ratios of 1:3 across days, nights, and weekends
• Float to like assignments throughout the hospital may be required
• Special equipment includes Nitric Oxide, Servo Ventilators, Hi Flow Nasal Cannula, Ram Cannula, Bubble CPAP, EVD, Shunts, G-tubes, Trachs, Giraffe Beds, Moog Feeding Pumps, Arterial Lines, Peritoneal Dialysis, Oscillators, and Bili Lights and Blankets
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS
• Ohio single state or compact license required
