RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, primarily critical care and acute care cluster
• Every 2-3 weekends required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Call is permitted but not required, with a 1-hour response time if picking up call
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which may be taken in hour increments
• Unit may request traveler to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift during low census periods
• 12-bed Cardiac ICU managing post-op hearts, AMI, cardiogenic shock, induced hypothermia, and basic CICU cases
• Patient ratios: 2:1 for CRRT, 1:1 for Impella
• Primary procedures include post-op hearts, AMI, cardiogenic shock, frequent cardioversions, and line placement and discontinuation
• Proficiency with Swans, IABPs, and post-op hearts required
• Minimum 2 years of experience with cardiac experience required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS
• CCRN preferred but not required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Must be able to work independently, manage tasks in a timely manner, and adapt well to change
