RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit to patients with complex cardiac conditions
• Experience required with Impella, balloon pump, and heart recovery procedures
• Must be proficient in Impella, IABP, CRRT, post open heart day 2 care, and ECMO
• Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions
• Make referrals to appropriate personnel and delegate tasks to support staff
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills needed
• Computer skills required
