Interventional Radiology RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking an RN for our Interventional Radiology department in Rochester, NY. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide specialized nursing care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing image-guided interventional procedures. Your responsibilities include patient preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery management across PACU and extended 23-hour recovery settings.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Support biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and other interventional procedures
• Monitor patients during procedures and manage immediate post-procedure care
• Serve as an essential team member in critical embolization response for trauma patients
• Collaborate with interventional radiologists, technologists, and support staff
• Apply infection prevention protocols as required

Schedule and Hours

You will work four 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours total), with weekend, holiday, and on-call responsibilities as determined by unit needs.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $3,003.

Required Qualifications

• Current NYS RN License
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of recent interventional radiology experience
• Telemetry experience

Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced, procedural environment requiring strong critical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to function as part of a cohesive team. Hospital-issued and laundered scrub pants and tops are required in procedural areas.
