Telemetry RN Job in Highlands, NC

You'll work as an RN in a 24-bed acute care Telemetry unit at Highlands-Cashiers Hospital, serving a community of discerning patients who expect attentive, concierge-level care.

Your Role

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry unit with patient ratios of 6–7:1
• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Perform minor procedures within your scope on the unit
• Manage advanced wound care for your patient assignment
• Float rarely to other areas when needed
• Document using the Cerner system

Your Patient Population

You'll care for geriatric patients and swing bed (inpatient rehab) patients. Prior experience with either population is required.

Unit Operations

The unit operates without a dedicated HUC or tech support. When no tech is available, you will handle additional tasks alongside your nursing duties. This requires flexibility and strong time management.

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS and CPI certifications (preferred)
• Experience with geriatric patients or inpatient rehab/swing bed care
• Advanced wound care skills

Practical Details

Dress code is all navy uniforms or a navy top with white bottoms. You'll use standard med/surgical equipment and work within an environment known for solid teamwork and positive culture.
