Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Night shift position with every other weekend requirement
• Option for 4x12 shift schedule available
• Float to like units as required
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for adults and geriatric population
• 30-minute lunch required - no skipped meals
• Possible charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• 1 year of experience required
• Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required skills: IV starts, isolation precautions/PPE, wound care/wound vac, blood product administration, colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care and management, heparin, insulin, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, surgical drains, and medication/surgical telemetry
• Charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), Fit Test
• NIHSS preferred
• Alabama nursing license required
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
