Medical Lab Technician Job in Deming, NM

Mimbres Memorial Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist to join the laboratory team on a 14-week travel assignment. You will work 12-hour day shifts on weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) at $1,663.20 per week.

About the Role

As a Medical Technologist, you will perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to support physicians in diagnosing and monitoring disease states. Your responsibilities include:

• Perform diagnostic testing and analysis on patient specimens
• Follow standardized laboratory procedures and protocols
• Prepare samples for testing and ensure proper handling
• Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical values
• Report findings to your manager or supervisor
• Execute a variety of laboratory tasks within established guidelines

Requirements

You must hold a Bachelor's degree and be a certified medical technologist (ASCP or equivalent). A minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience is required, along with prior travel healthcare experience. Local candidates are not eligible for this position.

Assignment Details

Start date: June 1, 2026. This is a 14-week assignment at Mimbres Memorial Hospital in Deming, New Mexico. You will report directly to your laboratory manager and work as part of a collaborative clinical team.
