CVOR RN Job in Redding, CA

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiothoracic Vascular Operating Room (CVOR). This is a 91-day travel assignment starting July 7, 2026, offering competitive weekly compensation of $3,888.

Role Overview

You will work 4x10 rotating shifts with 10-hour days and varied start times. The schedule includes every other weekend (EOW) and on-call responsibilities as part of your shift duties. You may be designated as first to float when census requires flexibility across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the CVOR setting
• Document patient care using the Cerner charting system
• Respond to call requirements as scheduled
• Support the facility's Level 2 trauma operations
• Maintain flexibility to float when needed to maintain census coverage

Requirements

• Current RN license (submission required for consideration)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• COVID vaccination required by facility policy
• Ability to work in an acute care environment

What to Know

This is an acute care setting with Level 2 trauma designation. A BSN degree is not required. The facility operates under standard shift cancellation policies: up to 4 shifts may be cancelled per 13-week assignment, or up to 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks.
