Opportunity:

RN - Infusion Oncology

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts in an outpatient Ambulatory Treatment Center/Infusion Center setting
• One weekend day required per 4-week schedule
• Self-scheduling available with schedule balance maintained; travelers are first to be adjusted if needed
• No on-call or standby requirement at this time
• Floating to inpatient units to provide inpatient chemotherapy may be required
• Unit operates with 13 infusion chairs, limiting to 4 active infusions at a time
• Administer chemotherapy to oncology patients including complex regimens such as Cisplatin, FOLFOX, and FOLFIRI
• Manage hypersensitivity reactions frequently and titrate drips including IVIG, rituximab, remicade, IV Darzalex, ocrevus, and blood transfusions
• Provide care for community patients needing iron, reclast, albumin, blood transfusions, hydration, prolia injections, rabies series injections, and long/short-term antibiotics
• Perform vascular access procedures including peripheral IVs, port access, and Hickman/PICC maintenance
• Conduct lab evaluations and apply findings in relation to oncology treatments
• Basic oxygen/RT equipment used on the unit; no telemetry monitoring required
• Charting system: Cerner
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: BLS, ONS/ONCC, ONS chemo/immunotherapy provider card
• California RN license required
• Recent or active chemotherapy administration experience and strong pharmacologic knowledge required
• Several years of oncology experience required to demonstrate proficiency in chemotherapy administration
• 2 supervisory references (at least one Charge RN) within the last 12 months required at time of submittal
