Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• No regular weekend shift requirement; 1 weekend of on-call coverage per month is required
• On-call coverage required 1–2 days per week
• Holiday on-call coverage required for 1 Summer holiday and 1 Winter holiday
• May float to the General OR based on facility needs
• May float to a sister facility approximately 20 miles away based on facility needs
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted; a reduced local rate applies
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of submission; requests received after submission will not be accepted
• Must be able to both scrub and circulate all types of CVOR cases
• CVOR, General OR, and Hybrid OR experience required
• Required cardiovascular experience includes: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atrial Septal Defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, CABG, IABP, MAZE procedures, Mitral Valve replacement, Pericardial Window, TAVR, and LVAD/RVAD
• Must be comfortable with cardiac monitoring, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, Universal Protocol/time-out procedures, urinary catheterization, and wound management
• Code response, fire safety, latex allergy, and malignant hyperthermia experience required
• Required equipment experience: Cell Saver, Electrosurgical units, Fiber-optic light sources/cords, Hana Table, and Steris
• Cerner Surginet charting system experience required
• Hospital-provided scrubs are used
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Pennsylvania single-state or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
