Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week with every third weekend rotation
• Must be willing to work some holidays
• Expected to work in ICUs and general floors with floating required within scope to meet facility needs
• May be asked to precept respiratory therapy students in this teaching hospital environment
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract period
• Medium to dark gray scrubs required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must have 2 years of experience and RRT credentials
• Required certifications: RRT, BLS, Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License
• Strongly preferred: Active AARC membership and bachelor's degree or actively working towards one
• Must be comfortable managing mechanically ventilated patients and caring for patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases
• Ability to walk relatively long distances across large campus is important
• Work with various airway management devices, medication administration systems, nebulizers, oxygen therapy equipment, and ventilator management
• ABG interpretation skills required
• 72 hours of orientation provided
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
